WHEEL: Empowering Female Engineers
Women Harnessed and Empowered in Automotive Engineering and Leadership (WHEEL) is a flagship program designed to support and elevate female engineers in a traditionally male-dominated field. WHEEL provides aspiring and current female engineers with internships, hands-on training, and placements in reputable garages and engineering workshops. This program aims to bridge the gender gap in engineering, offering women the opportunity to gain practical experience, build professional networks, and develop leadership skills. WHEEL is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where female engineers can thrive and contribute significantly to the industry.
Safe Water & Drowning Prevention
Our Safe Water & Drowning Prevention program adopts a holistic approach to water safety and drowning prevention. Recognizing the high incidence of drowning in Uganda, particularly in lakeside districts, this program focuses on the safety of water vehicles and the implementation of effective safety measures. We work closely with the government to advocate for robust policies and regulations under the Inland Water Act. Our initiatives include training for boat operators, promoting the use of safety equipment, and conducting awareness campaigns. By addressing the root causes of drowning and advocating for comprehensive safety strategies, we aim to significantly reduce drowning incidents and save lives.
